To date, Chinyero is the last volcano to erupt in Tenerife, it happened in 1909 and spent 10 days spewing lava uninterruptedly. The eruption has left us with a beautiful landscape of contrasts. The route of the Chinyero trail is one of the best hiking routes in Tenerife, it is a circular route and is not too demanding. The distance of the route is 6.5 km and it takes about 2 hours.

Rasca Lighthouse

Rasca Lighthouse

The visit to the Faro de Rasca lighthouse is one of the most popular routes for those who want to go hiking in Tenerife. The route has no difficulty at all and runs through the amazing Malpaís de la Rasca, a Special Nature Reserve located in the town of el Palm-Mar. Most of the route follows the sea until you reach the lighthouse. The Punta de Rasca lighthouse is responsible for marking the southern coasts of the island for maritime navigation.

Punta Brava Beach

Punta Brava Beach

Punta Brava beach is in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, located within the Playa Jardín complex. Also known as Playa Grande, it is a wonderful beach of black volcanic sand. Next to a coastal neighbourhood surrounded by solidified basaltic lava from past eruptions. It is an area with moderate waves and with the tides there is little change in the space of sand where you can lay your towel.
