What is a digital nomad?

A digital nomad is a person who works remotely using the Internet. Due to the nature of his or her profession, he or she does not need to be physically present in the same place at the same time. In other words, they can work from anywhere in the world where there is an Internet connection.

Thanks to new technologies, there are many people who lead a nomadic life working around the world. This way of life is a strong personal liberation from their geographical barriers, routines and fixed schedules.

Apart from a few nomadic tribes and little else, since we were children we have been used to living always in the same place. We had an office to go to every working day of the week at a stipulated time, that was the norm. Only on holidays did we allow ourselves the occasional trip according to our economy.

This is no longer the case, we can work while travelling and enjoy a flexible timetable that we set ourselves. The Internet is too useful, it is too cheap to waste it.

Being a digital nomad is not just a job, it is also a lifestyle. A way of life that teaches you that there are other, very different ways of doing things. In addition to earning money, it allows you to have more time for yourself and to get to know other cultures, other places.

It is very important not to lose focus, if you want to be a digital nomad you have to have a high level of discipline and consistency in your work. This does not mean that you work long hours, but that you are productive and constant while you do it.

You have to keep in mind that there will be no boss to dictate your tasks. That is why it is very important to plan your weeks, assigning which hours you are going to dedicate to work and which hours you are going to spend getting to know the place where you are.
